The 08A (product code RP08A-RK3572) is a smart storage box built on Rockchip’s RK3572 8nm octa-core AIoT SoC, focusing on low power consumption, high stability, AI-powered smart storage and high-speed transfer.
Four main scenarios
- Home private cloud: automatic photo and video backup, replacing public cloud subscriptions
- SMB office NAS: intranet file sharing, multi-user collaboration and permission control
- Edge storage gateway: local caching plus upstream aggregation to cut bandwidth cost
- Home media center: HDMI 2.1 at 4K@60Hz, plays directly on your TV

- OS: ships with FN OS, a ready-to-use NAS system
- Cooling & power: active cooling; about 5W without drives, about 29W with two drives
- Environment: operating temperature -20℃ ~ 60℃, 7×24 capable
- Power supply: 12V 3A DC (5.5×2.0mm)
Why RK3572
RK3572 uses a big.LITTLE layout, delivering 4 TOPS of NPU compute while keeping both idle and full-load power low. Compared with x86 solutions at a similar price, overall system power can be an order of magnitude lower — ideal for a NAS that never shuts down.
