Android 12 Pro Best Practices for Set-Top Boxes & Signage

Most off-the-shelf STBs ship with bloated Android images that lag and contain vendor ads. Hugsun’s tuned Android 12 Pro for the HS89 / HS86 series addresses three fronts.

1. System trimming

Google Mobile Services and other bloat packages are removed; the image is under 1.5 GB and boots in < 18s.

2. Boot logo & branding

base.rom-level boot logo and animation customization, no source-code changes required.

3. Remote OTA & device ops

A built-in Hugsun OTA Agent supports delta upgrades, canary rollouts and automatic rollback.
