Three hiding methods
- Behind TV: a mini box (HS86 MINI) velcroed to the back with a 20 cm HDMI cable;
- In cabinet: cable trunking below, Bluetooth/CEC remote so line-of-sight doesn’t matter;
- TV stick: the total vanish — straight into the HDMI port.
Thermal red lines
- Behind-TV mounts need fanless passive-cooled models;
- Leave 1 cm+ of ventilation gap in enclosed spaces;
- Don’t fully enclose 4K-heavy players like the X88 PRO.
Match the hiding method to the model’s cooling, and you keep both looks and lifespan.
