Flashing Armbian onto an RK3528 Box: Mini Server in Ten Minutes

The best use of an RK3528 TV box isn’t a custom TV ROM — it’s Armbian, turning it into a mini server.

Flashing steps

  • Image: community Armbian RK3528 build (adaptation pack in our docs);
  • Write: Rufus/balenaEtcher to a TF card; power on and it boots;
  • Internalize: once stable, dd it into eMMC and drop the TF card;
  • First boot: change mirrors, set a static IP, install Docker.

What it can do

  • AdGuard gateway; qBittorrent download box;
  • Jellyfin 1080p media library; code sync server.

Ten minutes from idle box to 2 W server — the entry cost is basically zero.
