AdGuard Home on RK3588: House-Wide Ad Blocking at the DNS Layer
Tvs, phones and tablets each invent new ways to show ads. DNS-level blocking is the only place you can cut them all at once.
Deployment notes
- Footprint: under 100 MB resident — invisible on an RK3588;
- Rules: built-in lists plus Chinese filter groups catch 30-40% of daily requests;
- Topology: as the household DNS (pushed by router DHCP) or on a side router;
- Whitelist: add shopping and banking domains early to avoid false positives.
Real results
Boot ads, pre-roll ads and in-app ads largely vanish; pair it with a multi-port box like the RT28 as the gateway and the whole network quiets down overnight.
